„False Readings“ ist die dritte Solo-Prog-Rock-Veröffentlichung von Schlagzeuger MARK MURDOCK mit Fernando Perdomo, mit dem Mark in der Out to Sea Band auf der „Cruise To The Edge“ 2022 auftrat. Mit Unterstützung von den Gastmusikern Ron Howden, Derek „Mo“ Moore, Ryche Chlanda und Kendall Scott von der Band Nektar wurde das Album realisiert.
